Q:

How much will it cost?

A:

In Kit form $25,000 USD £16,500
Rolling chassis $32.500 USD £21,500
Turn-key Depends on options and your wallet

Q: How is it possible for a small company to make such a car?
A:

Much like the original Elva Courier, the new Elva will make use of parts bins of mass-produced cars.  The company will make the chassis and body, but not the engine, suspension, and other hardware.  The car will involve stripping one Mazda MX5 (Miata) of its suspension, subframes, brakes, windshield, differential, door hardware, and other miscellaneous parts.  A few other parts may come from other cars, like tail lights and exterior door handles.

Q: How will the UK cars differ from US cars?
A:

The UK car will utilize the Dunnell Zetec engine, but since this engine is non-US spec, and does not conform to many US regulations, North American cars will make use of either the Mazda engine, with a supercharger, or the Turbocharged Ford Focus engine to achieve similar horsepower.

Q: How much skill will be required to build the car from a kit?
A:

Not much, as all the body and chassis assembly will be done.  The car will need to be painted, (optionally, the paint could be done at the factory) and the rest will be assembly of mechanical components.
